Biography

Early
Palmy was born Eve Pancharoen on 7 August 1981 to multiethnic parents - her mother is Thai and her father Belgian. She lived with her grandmother in Bangkok and studied at Phra mae maree school (St.Louis) until grade 8. After that she joined her mother in Australia. While she was in Thailand she learned much about Thai culture. When Palmy decided to stay with her mother in Australia, they decided not to tell Palmy's grandmother because they were afraid that she might not permit it. Her grandmother was quite sad when she knew the fact that Palmy was gone but finally she understood.

Life in Australia
In Australia, she studied at Holy Cross College. She experienced western cultures both through music and arts, both of which greatly influenced her life. She loved art classes at school and spent most of her free time in a museum or at the gallery. Other than that, she loved to sing karaoke with her friends and went to a record shop every day. She listened to every style of music and became interested in singing.
She then joined a singing class but she didn't like it. She quit and started practicing singing hard by herself in the garage. She learned singing techniques by listening to her favorite singers' songs such as Zombie by The Cranberries or songs of Bic Runga.

Back to Thailand
Later she finished her high school, she had to decide what to do. She knew she wanted to be a singer but the chance was rare. She got a year to fulfill her dream. Otherwise she had to attend university. Therefore she came back to Thailand and went directly to GMM Grammy. Generally, people who want to be a singer must have a demo but she didn't. She went with nothing but her talents. She asked them if she could sing live. After singing, they told her to come again on a screen test day. She misunderstood that she was already accepted so she decided not to go back to university. On the screen test day, she sang 3 songs, those are Chan cha cham Tur pai nai baeb née (Thai: ฉันจะจำเธอไปในแบบนี้) by Bo Sunita (Thai: โบ สุนิตา), Drive by Bic Runga and Kid teung (Thai: คิดถึง) by Jiab Wattana (Thai: เจี๊ยบ วรรธนา). Fortunately, A few days later, they called her and told that she was now a singer of RPG, an affiliate of GMM Grammy.
She started with being a chorus in a song “Roo tua wa dee mai por (Thai: รู้ตัวว่าดีไม่พอ) by Tui Theerapat (Thai: ตุ้ย ธีรภัทร). Moreover, she wrote the English version of “Chai hai pai loei” (Thai: ใจหายไปเลย), a song by Mister Team, and named it One look one touch. This song ultimately became one of the songs she sang in her first concert. Later that year on December 21, she had her first album out.
