Группа существует с 2008года, основана двумя одержимыми мраком и свергающей скалы безысходностью музыкантами: гитаристом Ильёй и барабанщиком Алексеем. Впоследствии имя Dagon сменили на The Sullen Route. Музыка банды берёт начало у традиций жанра Doom-Death Metal, таких титанов как Anathema, Mourning Beloveth, Jack Frost и Process Of Guilt. Men in Route were born in Padova in December 2005. It all started with four friends, drawn together by years of boy scouting, who decided to take on some music. They first go public on New Year's Eve, December 2005.
